FAQ

We need unit for our Rv that will automatically locate the satellite signals while we are camping Not necessary to home in while we are actually driving Need a model number and price

There are two level of automatic dishes.  Carryouts - which are small bubble looking dishes you would take outside when you stop and it would find the signal. Generally inside is quite a small dish, so they work in more limited areas, and are limited to Bell and Telus for now. These generally are betwen 850-1000.  The King Quest is the most popular, but there is also the Winegard G2+

There are also roof mounted auto pointed dishes.  These are a full dish mounted on a folding motor - the full dish allows you to receive the best signal possible without leaving your RV. Simply press a button and the dish will lock on itself, giving you TV within minutes.  Winegard produces the Travl'r, priced around $2995, plus installation.
