I was wondering if you can use any bell dish with an HD Receiver, or is there a specific kind needed. I have a friend asking as they have an older dish and want to upgrade to HD.
Most bell dishes will work with most receivers, with a few exceptions.
HD PVR's require either two cables in, or a DPP LNB setup.
If a HD receiver is on a SD dish, it simply will not display HD content, it is still usable.
Older receivers sometimes have issues working alone on the newest style (DPP) of dish.
